A complete medieval cast copper-alloy annular brooch. The frame is circular in form with both the inner and outer edges bevelled. The decoration on the brooch consists of three equally spaced sets of c. 14 transverse incisions with three plain sections between them, one of which contains the pin constriction. The lower surface of the frame is undecorated and frame is slightly bent in profile. The extant pin tapers to a point and is slightly bent. It has a flattened end that is perforated to fit on the frame. The artefact has an even grey patina. A similar decorative treatment can be found on an annular brooch illustrated in Griffiths et al. (2007, 143; ref. 1702).
