A cast, copper alloy strap mounted terret ring of Roman date, 43- 200 AD. It consists of a circular ring of flat section with a rectangular loop of circular section attached. The ring has a raised and serrated decorative ridge running around the whole of the circumference, except for the section supporting the loop. It is 32.4mm long, 26.7mm wide and 5.4mm thick. It weighs 10.79gm. It has an incomplete dark green patina. A similar example but without the serrated decoration is DENO-D3C985.
