Cast copper alloy Wirral type bow brooch dating from the 2nd cenury AD.

In corroded and incomplete condition. The stepped head has transverse mouldings, the head loop is missing. The upper part of the bow has three longitudinal cells which contain traces of yellow and red enamel. They would have been filled with alternating colours giving a chequerboard effect. Below these panels is a small worn projecting round boss. The leg is mostly missing but would have tapered towards the foot.
