A Post medieval copper-alloy D-shaped buckle frame. The outer edge has a large projecting ovoid knop. The bar is set a little way along the sides of the frame and is circular in section, while the sides are D shaped in section, flat side inwards. The outer edge is expanded and flat, with a hollow back. The pin is missing. The frame has a length of 50.6mm, width 38.5mm, thickness 13.2mm, weight 13.95g. The metal has a grey patina. The frame is a little distorted.
For reference see number 161 on page 29 of Whitehead which is dated from 1500 - 1650.
