A sherd from a pottery vessel of probable late medieval to early post-medieval in date. The sherd is a rim and body sherd from a wheel thrown pot, probably a storage jar. The sherd has been glazed with a dark brown/black lead glaze and decorated with three raised circular dots created by stamping. The fabric is orange in colour with minimal inclusions, apparently of shell and grog. It measures 44.64 mm in length, 38.67 mm wide, 12.86 mm thick and weighs 23.9 grams.
