Unidnetified cast copper alloy artefact, probably Roman to Medieval in date. Formed of an incomplete curved bar which is sub-triangular in plan and has an oval cross section. There is a worn break at each end. The wider end has been cast at a 45 degree angle and contains a possible slot or rivet hole, however the break makes this difficult to determine. It has a mid green patina. It is 44.47mm long, has a maximum width of 10.42mm and thickness of 5.43mm. It weighs 8.2 grams.
