Cast copper alloy disc brooch. Mid-2nd to 3rd century AD.
23mm in diameter. The reverse is flat and appears to have been tinned. There is one lug on the reverse, on which the pin was attached; the return of the catchplate is missing. The front of the brooch has six raised spokes radiating from a central boss. The boss has a central raised knob, which is broken at the tip and stands at 4mm high. The outer border is 2.5mm wide and decorated with wide grooves. The front surface is gilded.
