A cast, copper alloy strap slide, dating from 1250-1350AD. It is D-shaped, with the outer edge being wider than the base, and has an uncollared, globular knop in the centre of the outer edge. There is also a short, circular projection from the centre of the base. It is 18.4mm long, 11.2mm wide and 2.9mm thick. It weighs 0.93gm. An very similar loop is illustrated in Griffiths, Philpott and Egan, Meols: The Archaeology of the North Wirral Coast, plate 22, number 1356.
