Flint blade, Neolithic in date.

It is made from a toffee coloured flint, with some darker patches. It is sub-rectangular in plan with irregular edges. The bulb of percussion can be seen on the bottom (as per the photograph). In cross section it is triangular at the lower end with a central ridge running one third of the length. A flake has then been taken off this blade meaning the blade has more of a trapezoidal cross section. It thins towards the upper end. Retouch can be seen all along the left edge (when viewed from the front, as per the photograph), with some retouch visible at the end and along the right edge.
