A Roman silver finger ring, complete, probably a Henig type II dating from the 1st to 3rd century. It has an ovular hoop which expands and swells to a bezel set with an oval, orangey-red intaglio (possibly carnelian?). The intaglio depicts a full-length seated female figure, (possibly Fortuna), facing left holding something outstretched. It is similar to two intaglios illustrated in Henig 1974, (pl. XI, 326-7) though in this case the stone is heavily worn and certain details, for example the diphros on which she is seated and aspects of the cornucopia, are not visible.

Ext. d.: 19.55mm Int. d.: 15.41mm Wt. (uncleaned): 5.81g

Similar examples are LVPL-EA2391, NMS-E3D804, DENO-9450F3 and SWYOR-AA9A21.
