A copper alloy sheet which is probably a vessel repair. It is made from a sub-rectangular strip of copper alloy which has a sub-square hole which has been pierced through from one side leaving a slightly protruding edge on the outer face. The sheet is slightly bent, and this does not appear to be intentional. The repair has a mottled dark green patina with traces of a black carbon deposit. The repair measures 30.48mm from the fold to the longest edge, and 18.11mm wide. It weighs 5.2g.

Egan (Egan, G. 1998 The Medieval Household: Daily Living c. 1150 - c. 1450 The Stationary Office: London) illustrates a similar repair (No. 494) and dates it to the mid 12th to late 15th century to repair small splits on sheet vessels.
