Complete cast copper alloy post Medieval asymmetric trapezoidal double looped buckle frame. The buckle frame is rectangular on one side of the pin bar and D-shaped on the second side. There is an openwork knopped loop projecting from the midpoint of the D-shaped loop creating a decorative finial plate. The buckle is flat on the reverse, D-shaped in section and has single decorative knops to either end of the pin bar and at the outer edges of the D-shaped loop. The pin is missing.
Buckles of this type are typically dated c.1575-1700.
