Copper alloy
Bracelet fragment. Cast tapered strip, of rounded rectangular section, hooked at its narrow end and broken at the other. The bracelet would have had a complete diameter of about 80mm. Traces of (probably) incised decoration appear on its outer display surface; these include a circumferential off-centre line and transverse lines in a group of five at the narrow hooked terminal, and a single line close to the other, broken, end. There are also dimples on the outer surface, though it is uncertain whether these represent limited stamped decoration or localised spots of corrosion. Patinated overall and abraded. Suggested date: Roman, 40-400.
Length: 55.3mm, Width: 6.1mm, Thickness: 2.4mm, Weight: 4.23gms.
