A copper alloy mount or belt-stiffener, of post-medieval date. Sub-rectangular in plan, with serrated edges and four curved cut-outs on each side. Horizontal groove at each end and a wavy line at one end. The prongs on the reverse are rectangular in cross-section and folded over.
