An incomplete cast copper alloy Anglo Saxon brooch. This is a cruciform brooch, of which only the head and part of the bow remain. The head is sub cruciform in shape, with notched corners. There is the remains of a lug on the back, and some corroded iron. The head is decorated with simple engraved lines around the edges. the bow is curved, and has a D-shaped cross section. There is a linear groove vertical down the center of the bow. Apart from being incomplete, it is in good condition. Brooches of this type usually date to the 6th century in Kent. A similar brooch can be seen KENT-B10BC5.
