A complete unidentified object of probable post-medieval date. The body of the object is long and cylindrical with a hammer-head shaped terminal. At the opposite end of the body a narrow collar is present above which a circular attachment loop projects. A short length of cylindrical metal is present through the attachment loop and has a rectangular plate folded around it.
Due to the lack of any diagnostic features and the lack of contextual evidence it is not possible to identify or date this object any more closely. It is possibly post-medieval but an earlier date cannot be ruled out.
The metal is a mid brownish-green colour and is worn. The object is 40.1mm long, 9.1mm wide, 2.7mm thick and weighs 2.2g.
