A cast copper-alloy broadly circular mount of post-medieval date. The flat mount has six circular perforations which are fairly equally spaced around the circumference; these were drilled through the upper surface. The surface decoration is crudely formed with linear radiating lines around a central 'circle', and punched crescents between their terminals which are misaligned. The reverse features a pair of bent, pointed lugs which are slightly raised. The mount is also raised at the other cardinal points, where two parallel holes have since been drilled, which suggests that the mount was either intended to have four lugs and only two were decided upon, or the location of the lugs was altered during the manufacturing process. There are also three further circular recesses around the circumference on the lower surface, this might represent aborted holes. The artefact a general dark-grey patina; on the lower surface and the circumference of the upper surface it has corroded to a mid/light-green colour.
