A complete cast copper alloy Medieval buckle. It is a single loop oval buckle, with a decorated outer edge. There are four ridges dividing the outter edged, the two central ridges forming the pin rest. the bar is slightly offset. There is no pin. Bucles such as this date to circa 1250 AD - 1400 AD, and examples can be seen in Whitehead 1996 p22. 24.79mm L x 18.68mm t. 4.47g weight
