An oval copper alloy swivel with a pair of animal heads turned round to face the pierced plate. A separate loop survives in the plate and is held in place by a domed rivet (making three pieces altogether). The animal heads both have prominent brow ridges and ears.
Notes:
The swivel may have been intended for a dog leash. Many similar swivel fittings are known but are difficult to date with any precision.
