Post Medieval cast copper alloy pot foot and part of the leg. The leg is D shaped in section with a flat back; it is broken off just above a transverse collar with an old break. The foot is also D shaped in section with three moulded ribs running down the front and a flat back. The base of the foot is rounded. It is 39.0mm long, 21.1mm wide and 13.6mm thick; it weighs 48.96 grams.
Crudely made cast copper alloy vessels were widely used from c.1200-1700 for serving and cooking. Butler et al (2009:4) suggest there were four main types of leg used. This is a type B which they suggest was already in use by the late 15th century
