Post Medieval cast copper alloy mount dating to c.1500-1700 AD. The mount is flat and geometric in shape with a central large openwork triangle with slightly convex long sides. The top edge has lobed knops at either end and a central loped projection in the centre of the outer side. Below this is an annulet within the openwork centre. The bottom point of the trainagle is expanded into a pointed oval terminal with lobed knops to each side. There are two spikes at the back, both bent over at 90 degrees, one has lost it tip. It measures 36.5 mm by 15.9mm and 6.4mm thick, including spikes; weight 3.52gms.
