The pegged leaf shaped spearhead, southeastern and southern English ribbed type socketed axes are all typical of the Ewart Park phase of the Late Bronze Age (c. 1020-800 BC) (Needham 1990; Needham et al. 1997; Schmidt and Burgess 1981). The objects in the hoard also share a similar patina indicating comparable post-depositional treatment making it probable that they were buried together. In contents the hoard is comparable to the discovery at East of Colchester, Essex (2004 T116, Treasure Annual Report 2004, 36-7).
