85 sherds (2 rimsherds, 70 bodysherds, 2 handles, 1 basesherd) of several wheel thrown ceramic vessels of an local Romano-British Pottery type.
The sherds vary in thickness from 4.69mm to 9.84mm. In total they weigh 536 grams.
The sherds have a pale unoxidised fabric type. Several subtle variations of the fabric type are present within this selection (change of inclusions). This fabric type is similar to a miscellaneous (unsourced) local Romano-British Oxidised fabric type. Typically this type of pottery dates from the 2rd to 4th Centuries AD (c.100 AD to c.300 AD).
The rim sherds consist of a simple bead rim from a cup or tankard and a plain everted rim from a storage jar.
Both handle types are strap types, probably from tankards or storage jars.
The basesherd consists of a flat base type, probably from a storage jar or similar utilitarian vessel.
