EPM Hooked book clasp with remains of iron spring on reverse held by a rivet. In the centre a large three-rings-&-dot next to longitudinal grooved lines. Adjacent to the flaring fish-tail scalloped terminal six circular perforations, all but one blocked with iron corrosion. Three appear to have contained rivets. 57 x 22mm. 16th cent.
