Silver seal matrix, flat backed with a rib ending in a collared loop at upper edge and foliate terminal with vertical groove at the base on the reverse. Pointed oval, 29 x 20mm. Day of Judgement scene: a seated male figure rises from his coffin, his hands raised in prayer, the lid lies dislodged behind the coffin at an oblique angle, and the hand of God emerges from the sky above. + S' : SVBPRIORIS : DE : WEST ACRE : (Seal of the Sub Prior of West Acre).
Late 13th century. Measuring 29 x 20mm.

This object was discovered before 1997 and therefore falls under Treasure Trove. It is likely that it was accidentally lost and not buried with the intention of retrieval. Therefore it does not qualify as Treasure Trove.
