A cast copper-alloy Post-Medieval spur.
The spur is incomplete, missing half of one arm and the rowel. The complete arm is broken, such that the outer half is a separate piece. The terminal of the arm has a double-looped terminal, one of which retains a shanked sub-triangular strap fitting attached to the spur by its hooked end. The arms are D-shaped in section, and taper from the body towards their terminals. The centre has two projecting lugs that would have held the rowel.
The copper alloy has a high tin content.
