A rim sherd from a ceramic vessel probably dating from the medieval period. It is 37mm long, 34.7mm wide and 13mm thick. It weighs 17.37gm. The rim is slightly flared. The fabric is fairly soft and has a grey core with a pale orange outer surface. There are large irregular quartz inclusions giving an irregular texture and gritty feel. There are patches of glaze surviving, mostly on the outside. It is dark brown and crazed.
