Fragment of a cast copper-alloy annular brooch of the Early Medieval period, c. 500-700.
The fragment is approximately one quarter of a complete brooch, flat and rectangular in section. Both ends are broken and only somewhat abraded, suggesting breakage due to modern agricultrual practices.
There are four incised lines across the breadth of the brooch, and traces of a pair of incised lines in the area of a break, suggesting a fairly regular pattern of decoration.
