Complete cast copper alloy single loop buckle frame of probable Medieval date. The frame is round in shape, flat on the reverse and has raised moulding on the front. The frame is plain aside from the moulding to either side of the loop forming the pin rest and groove for the now missing pin. The pin rest is formed of two raised semi-circular ridges with a groove between.
Although no good parallel for this buckle was found at the time of recording it has been dated broadly to the later Medieval period, c.1300-1500.
