A rim sherd of a Roman wheel made vessel; jar. The sherd has a wide neck in profile forming a 'C' shape. The fabric is a grey ware which is quite hard. It mid has a dark grey core with mid grey surfaces. There are frequent small grey coloured inclusions and it is micaeous. The wall of the vessel is 6.24mm thick, and weighs 22.2g. It is heavily abraded.
The sherd is from a utilitarian vessel dating to the Roman period, probably a jar.
