Silver Iron Age unit dated to the late Iron Age 50BC-50 AD.

The unit is an Uninscribed East Anglian Silver Boar / Horse Type. A direct sub-type has not been found as the reverse horse faces left and all the published examples face right - images have been sent to the CCI and curators at the BM to help confirm this intial identification.

Obverse description: Boar facing right, above back of boar heavily worn ring of pellets, above boar's head cross (saltire?) although this is unclear. All elements enclosed within a ring of pellets. The edge of the flan is slightly serrated.
Reverse description: Horse facing left, with ring and pellet enclosed by a ring of pellets above, and below ring and pellet. Exergue line formed from a solid horizontal bar with a series of verticle ribs extending below. The tail of the horse is thick and the mane is formed from a series of pellets
