Small copper alloy key, clearly hand made. The rear terminal is ovoid with a round pierced hole, the shaft is of flattened oval cross-section with surface flattening in places, and the unlocking end has been formed from a rectangular plate with rectangular removaals from the front and rear edges and a scooped removal from one face. A medieval casket key? The object is in good condition, 36mm long, 10mm wide, 3mm thick, and weighs 2.7g.
