Grey and blue mottled semi-translucent flint with patch of cortex.

Blade. Plano-convex knife, made from a long leaf-shaped flake. A patch of cortex remains on the convex surface, along with about nine long flake removal scars. A zone of diagonal wear or polish appears close to the cortex. Damage on the flatter side of the blade appears to be recent. Suggested date: Neolithic, 3500-2100.
