A fragment of a ate Bronze Age copper-alloy socketed gouge.
The piece represents the distal end of the implement, the upper part having been lost in antiquity. An irregular break marks the top of the tubular upper end of the implement, and a groove tapers upwards from the rounded blade, creating a C-shaped cross section in the lower part.
