A copper alloy Roman T shaped Brooch with a hinged pin, dating from 43-200 AD. The bow is plain, except for a raised, central ridge flanked by two shallow grooves. The wings are also plain and tubular. The pin axis bar and a fragment of a copper alloy hinged pin remain in place, but the catch plate is missing. The brooch has a dark brown patina and is corroded. It is 28.3mm long, 19.2mm wide and 14.1mm thick It weighs 3.52gm. Compare Hattatt's Visual Catalogue, page 302 number 917.
