late medieval to post medieval damaged and incomplete cast copper alloy mount. Formed of a rectangular bar, it expands out at one end immediately before a break. The other end appears to be complete. There is a square rivet hole towards the complete end. There is no visible decoration. The surface is corroded and pitted, however a small amount of gilding is visible on the upper surface. It is 39.46mm long, 17.02mm wide, 2.45mm thick and weighs 5.48 grams.
