Greyware. Sherd from rim and wall of a large wheel-thrown flanged bowl, of approximate estimated diameter 300mm. Some uncertainty is introduced by the wavy profile of this object, which may indicate it to be a waster, suggesting the possibility of its manufacture in the vicinity. The sherd was recovered along with a split and abraded large mammal long bone fragment.
