Fitting. Pressed flat metal strip with angled end bearing a rivet hole of diameter 2.8mm. The surface bears a stamped cross-hatched field, surrounding the legend: MORRIS COWLEY. The other end of strip is torn. A 20th-century automobile maker, Morris opened his works at Cowley, near Oxford, in 1912. Suggested date: Modern, 1912-1950.
