Possible Manufacturing Waste. A cast round section rod or sprue with two pairs of opposed oval lugs set circa 9mm apart. One side of the object bears brown staining, though whether this is unpatinated metal or a ferrous concretion is uncertain. Apart from this area, the object has a pale green surface. Suggested date: Medieval, 1100-1500.
