Cast copper alloy zoomorphic terminal of uncertain date and function. The object is in the form of a snake head and is rectangular in cross-section. The mouth of the snake is rounded and consists of a wide and deep groove. Below and above the mouth are small transverse grooves which define the mouth. To each side of the head slightly behind and above the mouth are circular depressions representing the eyes. These are enclosed in a pointed oval groove. The neck of the snake is undecorated and the object terminates with a forked slot presumably for attachment.

The head is decorated on the upper surface with an X-shaped groove, to either side of which are smaller transverse grooves. A semi-circular groove defines the noise of the snake. Another groove runs from the centre of the X down the neck of the object to the terminal. The groove expands and deepens as it reaches the terminal. To either side of the groove are smaller diagonal grooves. The base of the object is flat and undecorated. The object has a dark green patina and is in good condition.
