Fragment of a cast copper-alloy shoe buckle, c. 1700-1800.
The fragment of the frame is sub-rectangular in plan with central hole through the middle. On each side there are small arms decorated with incised diagonal lines. The back face of the frame bar is flat and undecorated.

I think this is a fragment of a Georgian shoe buckle. The hole is one of a pair taking the central cross bar.
