Four fragments of wood shaped into objects. The objects are not clear but they are possibly part of furniture rather than tools. They are likely to be Post Medieval in date in line with other material found nearby. No weights area given as this depends on how dry they are.

Piece 1: Snapped in two (all the wood is waterlogged and very delicate). Slightly curved (possibly bent once waterlogged) strip of wood with straight, parallel sides, a squared off end and an irregular break at the other end. One side is slightly thicker than the other but this could be from differential swelling of the grain as it was waterlogged. Possibly a batten or lathe from furniture or a wall. c.177mm long, 22.8mm wide and 5.5mm thick.

Piece 2: It is part of a longer piece with irregular breaks at both ends and parallel straight sides. D shaped in section with a slight ridge down the centre of the flat side. At one end there is the remains of a circular hole cut through the centre of the piece. 95mm long, 62mm wide and 28mm thick.

Piece 3: Possibly part of the same bar as piece 2. Again it has parallel sides and a D shaped section with a ridge down the centre of the flat side. One end has a fairly straight but irregular in the section break but the other is smoother and may have been deliberatly cut as the section is smooth; this could also be from wear or sea smoothing. c.172mm long, 57mm wide by 25mm thick at one end and 61mm by 28mm at the other.

Piece 4: Short circular sectioned piece with one rounded end and the other stepped in to a small circular sectioned rod with a slightly bevelled end. The main piece is 20mm in diameter and 103mm long; the rod is 21.3mm long and 4.8mm in diameter.
