The central, integral pin bar is narrowed and recessed, and the outer edge of the buckle is bevelled on the outer side, the inner side and back are flat. There is a transverse indented triangular pin notch in the centre of one side. It is 37.1 by 34.2mm, 3.2mm thick and weighs 7.56 grams. Whitehead (1993, p.44-5) gives similar buckles a broad date range of mid 14th to mid 17th century AD.
