An incomplete and worn cast copper-alloy socketed axe of Late Bronze Age date. Only the very worn blade end survives intact, the remainder of the object now missing due to old breaks. The surviving fragment is oval shaped in section, triangular in profile and has a crescentic blade end that is heavily corroded and worn. The very end of the socket is just visible at the old break and the exterior surfaces have traces of a dark brown patina. It measures 36.34mm in width, 20.46mm in length, 10.05mm in thickness, and weighs 24.74g. This axe fragment is of Late Bronze Age date, c.1150-800 BC.
