The foot and leg of a lead-alloy figurine, in two parts, broken at the ankle. From what remains of the piece, it appears to be in classical style, the foot and leg both bare. The features of the toes and ankle are refined and clearly visible on the foot, the calf, knee and thigh well executed on the leg. Both pieces are solid in section, apart from the top of the leg at the break, where it is hollow. The object has a grey to green external patina and a cream patina at the breaks. The foot sits on a small plate of lead alloy at the front of the foot, apparently soldered, not integrally cast. Traces of what may be black paint are visible on parts of the object. The leg fragment measures 43.96 mm long and is 13.63 mm wide at its widest. The foot measures 16.25 mm long and 11.05 mm wide. They have a combined length of 60.2 mm and a combined weight of 21.2 grams. As the pieces are fragments of a larger figurine dating it is difficult. There is a possibility that it may be Roman in date, though the traces of black paint are probably more reminiscent of painted figurines of post-medieval to early modern date.
