A cast bi-conical spindle whorl of indeterminate date, being in use from the Roman to past post medieval but probable medieval or later. This artefact is a typical undecorated whorl with a central hole of 12.8mm. The surface is heavily corroded by the lead oxide to a mottled pale cream.
