A cast copper alloy Medieval buckle. It has a single loop, and is rectangular in shape. it is flat, and has 4 linear grooves on the front edge. There are 2 casting spurs on each side. The strap bar is slightly offset. the pin is missing. There is a folded sheet buckle plate, which has one rivet hole, and rivet at the far end. C.1350 - 1400 in date. There is a similar buckle in Whitehead 1996 p.27 no 135. 40mm L x 15.28mm W x 1.92mm T. 3.81g weight.
