A copper alloy Q-Radiate of Allectus (AD 293-6) (Reece Period 14). Obverse description: Radiate and cuirassed bust right. Obverse inscription: IMP C ALLECTVS P F AVG. Reverse description: Galley sailing left with mast, cabin, six rowers and waves. .Reverse inscription: VIRTVS AVG. Probably Mint of London. The style of the coin, with waves, does suggest London. RIC V, pt 2, p. 563, cf. no. 55. This coin is included in Sam Moorhead's corpus for RIC.
