A lead alloy, personal seal, probably from the 13th to 14th century AD. The design consists of a crudely incised overlaid pair of crosses within a circle, with the name surrounding the motif. The reverse of the seal has a now broken central attachment point and is otherwise plain. The name, beginning after the cross potent, would appear to be 'Si : MADOC : FI : --IF the later part is damaged and difficult to decipher. The surface is now oxidised with a mottled pale grey patina.
