Copper alloy

Mount fragment. Cast relief, hollow behind, depicting four petals and the stem of a plant and smaller leaves. The style resembles that of Post-Medieval sword fittings, though no evidence for attachment survives and this object might equally have adorned furniture. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1500-1600.
